Steve
Steve has made Cambodia his home since 13 years already. At his happiest, Steve is to be found cycling through the beautiful rural landscapes of Siem Reap province, or just walking his dog around rice fields near his home. After a background of working in hotels and travel, Steve took the big leap to Cambodia and co-owns Travel Asia a la carte, a bespoke travel agency specialising in private tours. He relishes planning an itinerary from scratch, taking into account the travellers’ interests in order to create the perfect journey. ‘It takes a lot more time to plan everything, but it’s so much more satisfying as we give visitors what they want’. Visiting the famous temple sites is a must, but it’s also important to meet the charming Cambodian people, talk to them, interact whilst they are working in fields, and perhaps trying your hand to at planting rice, catching crabs etc..
