The idea of Das Fort Boutique was initially sketched and later brought to life by our family. Das Fort is an ensemble of Saxon houses, dating back to the 18th century, that have belonged to our family for decades. Therefore, above anything else, this is our soul project and was never treated solely as a business. Sacred to us and having gained some of our most precious memories here, taking the decision to carefully restore the property and all its local elements, preserving the authentic Saxon feeling, while introducing modern touches. We, the owners of Das Fort, who have largely worked within the design and architecture field, take delight in our approach, blending the traditional Saxon elements of the area, restoring old painted ceilings, doors and hundreds of years old furniture, as well as crafting new pieces from recovered 300-year-old wood, with signature author design pieces.
