Martina Plesnik, the current host of this iconic alpine retreat, embodies the spirit of her ancestors, who have cultivated the beauty and hospitality of Logar Valley for generations.

“To come to Logar Valley is to understand that tourism is much more than just a bed, food and entertainment. It’s about creating a personal connection with each guest, respecting their wishes and offering an experience that truly feels like home.” Martina explains. Her passion for this region is palpable and it’s clear that Hotel Plesnik is not just a business for her — it’s a calling.

Martina is proud to continue the dreams of her great-grandfather, who opened the first mountain hut here in 1890, and her father, who laid the foundations of the hotel in the early 1930s. After many years, her vision for the hotel was realised in 1995, when she reopened Hotel Plesnik, bringing it to life with the same values of warmth, sustainability and respect for nature that her family has always cherished.

Today, Martina, along with her family, remains dedicated to providing guests with a unique experience that honours the land and its people. With a commitment to sustainability and local sourcing, she invites you to discover the true essence of alpine wellness, refined cuisine and the untouched beauty of Logar Valley. “Every visit is a chance to create new memories, and I hope that each guest leaves feeling refreshed, inspired and at peace” says Martina.
