The origins of the López Montero family in the world of wine and distillates date back to 1788, when the first of their wineries in Tomelloso was registered in the town’s municipal archives. In 2005, the family’s descendants Belén, Juan Antonio, Pedro and Elías created Bodegas y Viñedos Verum, a brand that brings together the wines of the López Montero family from the best vineyards and terroirs of the property.

Our winemaker-Elías López Montero has began his professional career in 2001. In 2005 he took over the technical management of Bodegas Verum family project. He’s vocation is to make wines that are capable of transmitting their origin. He is convinced that it is in the vineyard where the wine is made and is committed to varietal excellence, to show the essence of the land and its character. He seeks to make wines of great elegance, purity and balance.
