Dr. Ivana Damnjanovic
Dr Ivana lives and breathes sustainable and transformational travel! As an educator, researcher, consultant, and experience designer, she’s dedicated to showing how tourism can spark positive change.
She has guided nearly 80 travel professionals worldwide in transformative experience design as Head of Education & Research at the Transformational Travel Council, contributed to collaborative transformation economy research with Stone Mantel, and inspired students and colleagues for almost two decades as Associate Professor and Vice-Dean of International Cooperation at universities in Serbia and across Europe.
Her work bridges sustainable and regenerative tourism, experience design, destination stewardship, and values-based learning rooted in community, nature, and personal growth. Ivana also contributes her expertise to the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and the IUCN WCPA TAPAS group. She champions immersive, story-rich approaches to learning and travelling — ones that turn journeys into meaningful transformations.
